     Macarons, macarons, macarons!!!      Hi!!      Before I get started let me tell you that; this recipe gave me a little bit of trouble BUT it got it right. Macarons are not so easy to make but this recipe is simple and you shouldn't have any problems. As always you can contact me with any questions or comments.  Follow the steps correctly and you'll have a delicious and chewy macaron.  Ingredients: 1 cup of icing sugar 1 cup of almond flour  ***Almond flour and all-purpose flour are 1:1 For this recipe I prefer Almond flour but you can use all-purpose flour or make two batches and compare which one you like the most.*** 2 egg whites A pinch of salt 1/4 cup of white fine sugar  Food coloring if desired Steps:  Preheat oven to 300F In a large bowl mix the almond flour with the icing sugar. Make sure you don't have any crumbs.  In a separate bowl whisk the two egg whites with salt until they form peaks.  Little by little add the white sugar

Baking Books Recommendations

 Hey, guys, it is me again!          Today I wanted to share some books that might be in your interests. Some are basic and others are more dedicated to techniques. I like to have lots of books that can help me get better at what I LOVE to do! One of my philosophies is "The more you read, the more you'll learn, the more you grow."          First,  Baking with the Cake Boss . I absolutely love the show and I discovered this book which I totally recommend. It has lots of recipes and how to do things. It is illustrated so we can know exactly what the results at home should be.       This next book is for those who are reading this blog because they love baking BUT as myself haven't taken any classes here is a book that I think will help you get started. Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting

 Hello guys!      A couple of days ago I was making a vanilla cake and decided to make a chocolate frosting. This is what I made and it was delicious!!!! It is my favorite CHOCOLATE frosting EVER!! You are going to need just four ingredients and I PROMISE you are going to LOVE IT!! Lets me know in the comments if you like it. Here it is what you need... Ingredients: 1 cup of heavy cream 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract  2 1/2 tablespoons of white sugar 2 1/2 tablespoons of 100% UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER  Steps:  Put everything in a large bowl and whip at medium speed until stiff peaks form. Use immediately or cover and let it chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes if you want to eat it cold.  Note: Can be used for cakes and cupcakes. Delicious as ICE CREAM topping!! I encourage you to try it!

Anyway, all this made me realized that there are a couple of things that I have been missing and thought that maybe that happens to some of you as well.   Here are some of the things that I consider that are essentials when it comes to baking.      1. If you do not bake a lot, just do it in special occasions or holidays a hand mixer is fine for you. BUT if you bake a couple of times a week or freeze big quantities you definitely need a stand mixer.      2. You will definitely need a spoon shaped spatula or a set of spatulas . In my case I always need more spatulas. I mean its like every time I bake I run out of everything in my kitchen.      3. Baking sheets!! Nothing more to say here...      4. Mea

        Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.       Today's recipe its a recipe that I made for my father. He liked them and I hope you like it as well. This recipe have dairy and eggs . If you are looking for a non dairy, eggless almond cupcakes this is not it. I will be posting another recipe non dairy and eggless very soon. This recipe makes 24 cupcakes approximately.  Ingredients: 3/4 butter 1/2 cups of white sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons of almond essence 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence  2 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of salt  2 1/2 cups of flour 1 1/4 cups of milk  2 cups of sliced almonds and some more to decorate the cupcakes.  Whipped cream or frosting.  Steps:  Preheat oven at 375 degrees F.   First, I would make the almond whipped cream because it needs to be kee

Orange Cookies Makes 12-15 cookies. Ingredients: 1 1/3 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ cups vegan butter or regular butter 1/3 brown sugar ¼ white sugar ½ teaspoon vanilla essence 1 egg or egg replacer (follow instructions of the replacer of your choosing) Yellow Cookies Batter Food coloring  of your choosing. Steps:  Preheat oven at 375F. Mix all dry ingredients.  Add egg and vanilla essence and stir.  In another bowl, add food coloring to 1/3 cups of  warm water. Make sure the color is a little more bright than the color wanted. Add it to the other ingredients and stir. Add 1/4 cups of flour and stir until mix evenly.  Bake at 375F for 25 minutes or until golden.  Orange Cookies  

Caramel Brownies

Ingredients: 1/2 cup of butter 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking powder caramel syrop (not shell) Steps: Preheat oven at 350F  Grease an 8x8 pan  Melt 1/2 cup of butter and remove from heat.  Add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir. In another bowl, beat cocoa, flour, salt and baking powder. Add the first ingredients to the dry ones. Stir until mixed well. Pour into the 8x8 pan. add caramel syrup in lines around the batter.  Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until completely done. Check after 25 minutes to be sure.  Let it cool.  Add caramel syrup.  *Can use different size of pan if you prefer thicker or thinner brownies.

Ingredients for the dough: 1 1/2 teaspoons of Baking Powder 1 cup of warm water 1 teaspoon of white sugar 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour 3 teaspoons of olive oil  1 teaspoon of salt  Try AmazonFresh Free Trial Inside ingredients: Sauce meat bacon green peppers red peppers mozzarella cheese  parmesan cheese Other ingredients: Italian Seasoning spices.  Steps:  Preheat oven at  450 ° Fahrenheit  or 230 ° Celsius  Dissolve baking powder and sugar in warm water. Stir the flour, salt, sugar  and olive oil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.  Flatten the dough. Add sauce.  Add the rest of the ingredients except the parmesan cheese.  In a small bowl mix some olive oil with the Italian seasoning spices and bush the crust for color and flavor.  Bake for 20 minutes. Enjoy!

8 Common Baking Mistakes

     HELLO EVERYONE!     Today I wanted to talk about some mistakes we all make at some point when we bake its nothing to be ashamed of. Hope this helps! Good luck. Forgetting to grease your pan! Not waiting for the ingredients to get to room temperature. Checking your cake for checking how it goes. This may make you cake not to cook even and can change the temperature in the oven by letting some of the hot air go.  Using the wrong baking pan.  Not mixing your batter enough or mixing it way too long. Baking at the wrong temperature. Forgetting to preheat the oven. You forget to cool sheets between batches.
