Ingredients: 1 cup white sugar 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder 1/2 teaspoon Lemon juice 3 egg whites Steps:  Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F  Mix the sugar with the baking powder. Using a big bowl and an electric mixer, mix the egg whites at high speed for 2 minutes. Turn down the velocity and add the sugar and baking powder mix slowly. At high speed mix for 2 minutes. Add the lemon juice and mix again for 2 minutes or until it gets the right texture.  Bake for 10 minutes.  *This recipe is not recommended for people with egg allergy. 

Flan

*For this recipe you will need a large rectangular pan and a small rectangular pan. Ingredients: 1 cup of white sugar for the caramel  1 1/4 cups of white sugar  1 teaspoon of vanilla 5 eggs or the egg replacer of your choosing (follow instructions of egg replacer for quantities) 1 can of 13oz evaporated milk or 13oz of coconut milk for those with dairy allergies.   *Coconut milk may add flavor to the recipe.   Steps:  Preheat oven at 350°F  In a large rectangular pan add an inch of water where you are going to bake the flan in a  bain-marie "Baño de Maria".  In the stove, add 1 cup of withe sugar with 1/3 of water. When its golden pour in a small rectangular pan.  In a bowl, break the eggs and stir until mix. No more than 10 seconds.  Add the rest of the ingredients, mix and strain.  Pour into caramelized pan.  Place the small pan in the bain-marie.  Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until you insert a toothpick in the center and it comes dry. 

Calzone and Elias's Mini Calzone

Ingredients: 1 1/2 teaspoons of Baking Powder 1 cup of warm water 1 teaspoon of white sugar 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour 3 teaspoons of olive oil  1 teaspoon of salt  1 egg  Inside Ingredients: Sauce Meat  Chicken  Mozzarella cheese/ non-dairyVeggie Cheese  Steps: Preheat oven at 450 ° Fahrenheit  or 230 ° Celsius  Dissolve baking powder and sugar in warm water Stir the flour, salt and olive oil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.  Mix everything into a dough. Then take 1/3 of the dough and make a small ball.  Flat the big dough and add sauce, meat, chicken, and mozzarella cheese.  Close the calzone Stir 1 egg in a small bowl.  Brush egg on top of the calzone so it does not open.  Bake for 20 minutes.  *For small calzone do not add mozzarella cheese, add veggie cheese or do not add cheese. Do steps 1 to 6 and after closing the calzone brush olive oil on top of the calzone. *Add Italian spices in the egg or olive oil before brushing.

     Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog: Glory's Bakes. THIS IS ME!!       I'm Glorimar and I LOVE to bake. I also happen to be legally blind...  My son is lactose intolerant and allergic to Milk Protein, have an egg allergy and is allergic to sweet potatoes too. I know, its a lot. I manage his allergies using soy milk, vegan butter and egg replacer in some of my recipes. Sometimes I even make two badges  of whatever I'm making; one regular and one for him.         I am going to be posting about desserts, pizza and any other thing that is make in the oven.     I hope you enjoy my new journey as a blogger.
